Dopplegangers were created from the dark labs of evil mages. This race of hunters preys on the weak and stalks the other races of Orthos. Upon the death of a foe, a Doppleganger can tap within their inner powers and consume the victimâs essence. This ceremony is a bit lengthy and dark in nature. The unfortunate victim is left un-ressurectable, for the doppleganger steals his or her very essence. These creatures are evil, conniving, and self motivated. Their social structure is non-existent, as they tend to be loners. They are born with one form besides their true form. This shift form varies from the race that their descendants were created from in those torturous labs of times forgotten. Often the necromancers are blamed for their existence even though such a rumor is untrue, for these beings are hardly undead. Their true form is featureless, their skin smooth and gray with no body hair. Their bodies are long and lean. Their other form varies on race. A doppleganger must be evil aligned.

-Chosen Forms: Dopplegangers have 3 chosen forms. They can be any race, however they do not pick up the racial abilities of the race. Dopplegangers can shift freely between chosen forms 2 times daily.
-Absorb Form. Dopplegangers can absorb the form of a recently dead body (within 12 hours of death) by absorbing their essence. This is rolled as a spell at a +4tht. Dopplegangers retain temporary forms for three days.
-Dopplegangers have a +2 to will saves
-Dopplegangers have 100ft Night vision.
